nice game (spoiler alert)

the game was simple and the art was nice. there are three endings to the game (or that i found so far) but there are still questions left unanswered. why was there a war? you never even see you enemies but they get a-bomed at the end of the game. so this is what ive gathered. they needed a super soldier they got one. you went super ape shit crazy and killed your family so they had to resort to a-bombing the enemies city and the doc felt guilty and kill himself? at any rate good job!

Mmm...

Seems good, reminds me a lot of Yahtzee's 1213 but very basic graphics...

Unfortunately I took a wrong turn near the end and the game ended. Oops. I'll replay through properly sometime but it's a bit slow so... Might take a while to get around to that.

Still, liked the game concept! Be great to see more like this!

Great game, loved the structure, but...

Good god that was so depressing! I hate how sad it was. But I suppose that is life. Also, I recommend a bit more explanation for each ending. I understood two of the endings easily, and got the basic idea of the story, but questions are left unanswered, like why didn't this "weapon" defeat the other army as well? Also, I suggest the inclusion of enemies, just to show the pure power of this weapon. Perhaps that could be an ending.

Didn't have a problem with glitches. It was a bit slow, though. When something would activate, it would lag greatly. This made the controls a bit slow.

From the very begining of the game, I was hooked. The first two unreachable pieces of paper made me go straight for the first reachable one. The three endings were awesome, and finding out different parts of the story along the way was fascinating. I believe I did all three endings in the best story-related order; basement lab, overworld right, overworld left. Lucky me. For this reason, the game wasn't that repetative. It was more like Metroid, where you backtrack a little but each time there's something new. The overall feel of the game, the atmosphere, the music, and level layouts fit the dark nature of the story perfectly. It made me want to keep playing to discover the other possibilities after I first found the basement ending. For this reason, even though the game doesnt' take very long to get through, it was still very entertaining, even despite the occasional slowness of the controls. That's the reason I took off one star. You've certainly earned the rest.
