Reviews for "Sonic Boom Cannon 3D!"

The Master Rater

Okay, what to say what to say? Ok here goes. I honestly was a little bit impressed because as one of the raters before said, it isn't often that you put a 3D cannon game onto this site. In fact I haven't ever seen one. The variety of music you had, dedicated to Sonic was a good part of this game. The diverse amount of characters you had, also good. Concept was good. Gameplay was decent. Difficulty could be trimmed down a bit, it took me forever to get just one item. Anyways, moving on. There were a few things that made me take points away from this. First and foremost is as SpanishScion pointed out, it is annoying that we can't see what's ahead of us, and the fact that most of this game is luck. It's a little boring sometimes when you just push a button and watch, but on the other hand, Kitten Cannon did that and it was a big success from what I gather. Once again I'll mention the difficulty. Just giving us a few more rings might clear that up a bit. But my BIGGEST complaint of all was the fact that the two items I DID get, were screwing the game up. I would earn more rings, sure, but the amount of rings that it would tell me I had would be a completely different amount. I got like 17 rings after wasting all my rings on an electric shield to pull rings and it told me I had 6. You really have to look into that and fix it. Plus, sometimes the shields wouldn't even show up. I would start and it wouldn't be there, and the effects wouldn't be either. All in all if you could fix those up you would really get a few points back on this. In short, very good game if you fix up the parts that make it not so great.

WTF

YOU SAID THERE WOULD BE TAILS DOLL (UNHAPPY FACE)

It was a good idea...

Putting a game like this in 3D is a good idea. It makes it more unique than other games similar to this.

But as some people have mentioned, because you can't see what is in front of you it's pretty much all up to chance. And with the prices for things being so high for the low money output it gets boring really fast.

As for what you're buying, it seems pretty worthless. I bought every character and outside the fliers there isn't that much of a difference I could notice. As for the fliers, while it is good that they could fly after going through that gate, they don't seem to get much lift from objects like they would when bouncing. Not to mention if you're too high up you can't even see the keys.

For the tools to help you with, I just got up to 4 of them. The Electric shield was the first thing I bought, thinking it will grab the rings I was unable to get. Sadly, the max I got in a row is three despite seeing 6 or 7 pass me by. The Cannon Up helped increased the distance, but combined with the electric shield made the money you get not good enough for what you're giving up. Flight seems totally worthless as not only do you have fliers it doesn't seem to work no matter who I use. Finally I got the Bubble Shield and it worked better than I hope.

So while it was a good idea, executed just doesn't live up to the previous two. For improvements, reducing the price would be a good idea. As for the characters, make them more unique from one another. Like some of them could bounce less but break objects that gets in their way or stuff like that.

Gets boring really fast

The concept is nice, but the game gets really boring very fast. The Upgrades are really hard to buy because in like 90% of the chances only i get 10 rings. I bought the Cannon Up for 1200, i use it every turn and I only get 11 rings per turn, making my purchase a waste of money

The game is nice, but this big details is killing your hard work

Needs some polishing

I'm not sure the end result was worth the amount of effort...

The concept is good, and the choice of all the stuff is good, but ring count seems somewhat random, and apart from obvious things (boosters, shields, etc.) it is difficult to know what is the effect of the upgrades. Also, it takes a really lucky run to get anything over 20 rings, so getting the first items to upgrade your ring count was really long, sometimes for no significant/consistant results.

Also, why did some characters cost more? they did not go any further, and did not seem to increase anything...
