Good game.....
But I would change one thing. Give players the ability to choose what weapon they use. I upgraded all the way to the bazooka and found out it was crap (due to its abysmal reload time). Everything else, graphics, gameplay, etc., was great.

I enjoyed this game, but I can't say I'd play it after beating it.
The pixel art was really good and the retro arcade feel was there the whole time. I liked the design altogether. The only thing that doesn't look so hot is the ground, which has much less detail than everything else. That's how it usually looked in old arcade games, though. It's probably better the way it is.
The controls were simple and the combat was a little creative, but nothing that hasn't been done before. Honestly though, this game seems like it was intended to resemble retro arcade-like games rather than introduce anything entirely different. It did take strategy, though. I found myself using mines a lot around the end. As some people suggested already, I believe being able to choose to use the bombs mid-combat would be better than having to open the shop to do it. Some people might blow the 1000 not even knowing it launches automatically.
There are some things that could use touching up, but all in all I liked this game the first run through. It doesn't really have much replay value though.

Not sure if this was supposed to happen or not but shortly after buying the shotgun (say like lvl 12-13 i think) after i began switching between it, the uzi, and the pistol the shotgun stopped needed to be re-loaded which made the game suuuuuuuuuper easy. I didnt get hit again afterwards. Otherwise a fun game!
