Refined Tracer
This game does exactly what I suggested yesterday to the creator of Kaboom-BOT; no extra controls, just move the dude. So good work there.
The gameplay itself is honed well, although having to hold down the mouse button makes it tricky to play on some trackpads. Perhaps an alternate control scheme that allows you to use a keyboard button as well as the mouse button would be in order? Other than that, it does work.
However, I think I agree with my brother: the "frustration gaming" genre shouldn't exist. For that reason I knocked off a few stars. The game should focus on entertaining you, not making you miserable with the sheer level of difficulty. Personally, I think "frustration gaming" stems from some game developer who is better at marketing than he is at game design, unable to properly balance the game difficulty, so coins a term that effectively means "next to impossible".
That was a bit long-winded but I'm essentially saying that the difficulty in this game is poorly balanced and needs to be fine-tuned. Even on "Easy Mode" I found some challenges almost unsurpassable. Level 5 was particularly frustrating.
Overall, good execution, but the difficulty is just ridiculous.
