Reviews for "Power Fox 4"

Controls are Unresponsive

Everything about this game seems fantastic, the music, graphics, and fighting system but for some reason the controls are very erratic or unresponsive for me. Often Power Fox either just starts off the battle using up the jackhammer and running to one side of the screen. It works periodically and I'm able to jump, and attack and stuff but if I'm ever able to move away from one side I usually end up stuck at the other side. I don't know why. Other games work perfectly fine. Unless this is a problem caused by Internet Explorer, it would be great if you could look into this so i can play it. Thanks.

It's a problem with Internet Explorer.

Wow...

...who would've thought mashing the A button could be so hard! Oh wait....

I like a lot of the graphics, simple as they may be, but I noticed some parts where it doesn't look as smooth as the rest.

While it wasn't out right terrible, I can't really rate this any higher then a six out of ten. Besides the difficulty setting, there really isn't too much to it. Dodge attacks, mash A button, rinse and repeat.

Decent but to chaotic

I'm sure that the wanted style of the game is achieved well. But I think it's a little to chaotic. There is way to much going on, and the only visible way of telling where your character is is to stop moving, or to look for one of those hit "blams" when you hit the opponent. Overall the controls are decent, but the coding could use a little bit more brushing up on, as theres really no easing at all and the jumping is dreadful.

But aside from it being to chaotic and needing a little better movement coding (and not to mention the art could use a little improvement also), I would say it's a good game. Personally I can't play it for long intervals and will absolutely NEVER get addicted to it, but I may be able to see why other people could enjoy a game like this. The gameplay overall was decent, but it needed a little something more. There were plenty of weapons and point bonuses and such, but I would've enjoyed that bosses to move in different patterns at times. Though I realize most games like this don't put a lot of thought into the opponents movement trail as it doesn't really matter that much.

Overall decent game, too chaotic, needs a little better coding and art, but can be fun and a good time killer.

decent

decent game, just pressing one button but the animations were decent.

the chopper was OP and it really wasnt much of a challenging game other than ... button mashing.

it takes way to long to defeat the oppenent

I mean the game had all the elements of being a nice adrenaline pumping game but that all came to a screeching halt when it took me almost 10 minutes to kill the first guy in the first round and then when I saw I had to do it all over again to the same guy in round to I was done. See games like this should be short rounds like street fighter 2 did most those rounds where 3 to 5 minutes tops. It should not feel like it takes and eternity to kill them.
Also where the heck are the special moves for me I mean my opponent was throwing flaming tigers and all other kinds of things at me while all I was able to do is punch and jackhammer.
Over it had the right stuff going for it to make it a fun time but was killed by the fact that you had no special moves and it took forever to kill each other.
