5.... only for effort though

i like parodys. even though halo is my favorite game i can take a parody of it. i have a sense of humor. but only if it actually refers too the game its self. just like immortal pickle said, the only thing this has to do with halo in any way is the characters. but thier personalitys werent real at all and the jokes had nothing to do with the gameplay features or anything. they were just random. like i said im not some pussy who cant handle a joke, but i would like too see jokes that make sense. even if they are childish they still are funny.... if they make sense.

not my type of humor

I usually have high expectations from flash movies sponsored by newgrounds. They tend to be very good or at the very least,of high quality. This is one of the latter. The art was good, the animation is among the highest found in newgrounds. the humor had no taste though. I prefer humor that is clever, sarcastic even but this errs more on the side of immaturity and uninspired cliches. I completely agree with Immortalpickle, good parodies pick out quirky flaws or overall themes in a work not to be used as a shallow backdrop in which to place bad ideas. I imagine to animate this took a considerable amount of effort, i just wished the storyline would have received that amount of attention

Well... here we go.

Well first off, your animation style seems to be you can draw and animate well, but the way you color. I can't even describe it. Maybe it's just my taste in flash, but I don't like the fact that you use very faded out colors. They look horrible. And some parts look like you just scribbled.

Suprisingly, I had high expectations for the animation. I loved Halo Reach. It was a good game and a great way for Bungie to end the series. Unfortunately, when Egoraptor's animation came out, I was slightly disappointed because I like parodies of videogames, I just hate it when the person who is parodying the videogame doesn't actually make fun of or mock the aspects of the game, but rather chooses to have random unrelated jokes that don't relate anything to the original product they are intending to parody.

When Egoraptor's animation came out, I was disappointed because he didn't make fun of the game at all, just random unfunny unrelated events that didn't tie back to the actual game he was intending to mock. But when I saw this on the front page, I was hoping that you'd actually make an effort to parody the game, rather than fall in the same path as Egoraptor with the shitty random jokes. But I was wrong.

I wouldn't even consider this a parody, the only aspects that actually relate back to Halo Reach are that there are Spartan characters, and there are Elite characters. But beyond the exterior of these characters is nothing more than cheap, lame, immature humor that only a 12 year old would find amusing.
