Reviews for "Demon Runner"

Eh.....

The Story's PLOT was kinda messed up. As in like,Where did the Giant Black Shadow-Demon come from? Also, the rocks you have to jump over with 'A' or Left key, is kinda pointless because if this was in real life,You'd jump straight into the "Monster's" mouth!

huh

its like one of those rhythm games, but without the rhythm. you just stuck the obstacles in randomly. I got bored real real fast. not worth the time really. all these games made in under 72 hours are way too long, they are all way too simple and boring make it shorter or at least make the jumps count, you can jump and land in the obstacle and it counts as going over.

Difficult...

Or maybe its just me... But I kept failing on every obstacle. I wasn't able to get the timing down I guess >.< However, the artwork was good. I also enjoyed the music.

Should have just been a rhythm game.

Great game to look at, and with such a neat selection of music this game would have worked far better as a rhythm game. The environment looked a little silly and the objects you have to jump over look more like placeholders for real objects that should have taken their place.

Also, more of a small gripe than anything was that every button makes you jump, and seeing as how all the objects are roughly the same size it seems silly that you have to press different buttons to make the character do the same thing. Mapping different animations to the buttons with more diverse obstacles would have at least made the game feel a bit more engaging.

Great concept but gameplay needs work

This is a great concept, maybe not very original, but still great. The animation is excellent as well. The reason why I gave it only 5 out of 10 stars is that the gameplay mechanics is very poor in quality and limiting. In addition, the explanation of how to play the game is incomplete. You have the controls in there but nothing about the obstacles being instructions for which buttons to press.
