It was pretty good.
I thought it was good. The music fit it perfectly, the animation was really good I thought. I say you color it, make it longer, a minute or two, add a plot and It could be really good.

To an Evil-Dog Track; Skillful, but not Original
This is a track from Evil-Dog's catalogue, and it's titled "A Darker Soul." It's a Newgrounds track. That means you should look up his stuff and properly credit him in the Author/File Info. I certainly would.
Nice fbf, by the way. It's how a line-art or animated storyboard ought to be designed. It's a little over-the-top and, as you admitted, rather derivative of what everyone else is doing, so nothing groundbreaking or avant garde going on. Still, it is a cut above the traditional faire and spam of Newgrounds, hence its well-deserved Excellent Score.
