Decent strategic game, but...

I really desired to have more variety in the game. It would have been great to take over more buildings of different variety and structure. Since you seem to randomly find dogs, why not have a vetinary buiding you could take over to save them, instead of having them randomly die? Then you could keep track of the dogs you have encountered and befriended. This, in turn, you could use to have them as available "players" that could help you on scavenger and scouting missions. Another example of buildings you could have been able to include was an armory and gun shop. You should have added a list of available weapons that soldiers could arm themselves in during missions. If they took over one of these building then they got a bonus to ammo supplies, and possibly unlocked a new weapon to use. To make the game more complex, you should have added ammo supply caches that could be found while scavenging to further support your troops. Adding a starting amount of ammo that enabled you to arm yourselves with certain weapons would have been great. An example would be an AK-47 that would use more bullets than a pistol. So if you didn't have enough bullets to use the AK, you still could wield a pistol. The game didn't have to be too complex, like finding the appropriate ammunition for a pistol. (EX: 9mm) Just a generic crate of ammo would do. Now if you didn't have enough ammo to support any weapons, you could wield knives and baseball bats and/or other blunt melee weapons. The penalty for this would be an increased danger level though. Why not expand the city walls to include a goal of taking over one than one town by traveling to other zombie infested lands? That would have lengthened gameplay considerably. Also, looking at the same buildings was completely bland. Make hospitals different sizes and colors, for example. I did enjoy that there were multiple endings. These are all suggestion that I thought would help your game soar. It was decent gameplay from my experience, but I found it just too overly simplistic for my taste. Still, a fine effort and still fun nonetheless.

This isn't tactics at all

Okay, since my score probably has a lot to do with my recent experiences with this particular genre ill be explaining my given score in a little more detail.

First off, this has nothing/little to do with tactics, chess is a game about tactics, this is a game of chance and luck, it has more of a resemblance to casino games than actual strategic insight.

I'm tired of games claiming to be about tactics where even the best tactic can fail due to terrible luck, I've played a lot of such games like Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy Tactics, Ogre battles and more, and frankly, none of those are very tactical, its mostly a lot of saving and loading and hoping the odds are in your favor, unlike actual strategic games like Advance Wars and such, where the result of a battle isnt based on who gets the best roll of the dice.

Its like when you play risk and send 20 dudes to kill one defender, you roll 1-2 20 times in a row, and he rolls 2-6 20 times in a row, you lose, to one defender and your entire strategy is fucked up because of bad luck, I don't see who would think of this concept as "fun" or "strategic"

These kinds of games aren't about strategy, they're about luck and if that was enjoyable I might as well sit around playing with a dice-roll generator feeling happy whenever it generates a good number.

The game itself though, other than claiming to be something its not, is well made in terms of visual and sound design, the programming is solid and its a good game if not flawed in concept.

meh

well built and a good game, but it was soooooo easy that it got boring mid way in. I had so many soldiers that I didn't even need to check my defenses anymore. You should definitely work on that...

Meh....

Nothing new or too interesting really

:( I'm rubbish
