Reviews for "Vectrix"

addicting like marijuana

if i had an ipod app exactly like this i wouldnt need any other game, i could spend hours playing this.

Vibe13 responds:

that plan is in motion... however I'm considering leaving the shooting out and focusing on making it a racer/avoider - thats only because I think it would work better with the iPod's tilt-detection steering controls if you're not constantly trying to press the on-screen fire-buttons at the same time...but then again I'm not sure.

Really injoyed this...

It was smooth and fun. Doesn't get old really quick like alot of these types of games do and the speed was intess. NOT TO MENTION THE FREAKING COLORS! I have never been so tempted to do drugs in my life...

Wonderfully refined.

An excellent sequel to a fun game, Vectrix improved on it's predecessor by increasing response times, adding more variety, and an improved soundtrack.

Oh. My. God.

THIS IS SO AWESOME. It's basically a game that I like to play, but this is better. WAY better.

Meh...

I don't really like this game (mostly 'cause I suck, but that's not why I don't like it)

Partly, this game is cliche. There have been so many "Avoid the moving bars in a 3D corridor" games before, that this doesn't really stand out. It's nice that you added an objective besides simply "Avoid dying" but it makes it even harder than other games.

While I enjoyed this game more than the other (mainly because killing things makes me less angry when I die" I still wouldn't really call this game "Great" but I wouldn't call it bad either. Therefore, the best way for me to describe my opinion of this game is:

"Meh."

Vibe13 responds:

yeah I think I really needed to add more stuff to shoot amd make it a full on shooter instead of a hybrid racer/avoider/shooter - the thing is I was worried about performance issues with a lot of enemies onscreen all at once. I've got my eye on Adobe's coming molehill API supporting hardware GPU 3D: when thats out (before the end of the year), I'll do another version along those lines.
