Wow. Just like every other beat em up ever made.
This game was mediocre. Nothing more. Despite what all the twelve year olds think is 'amazing', I have to say I saw this as a great effort at the genre, but nothing new. And believe me, putting ten million attacks in your game does not 'break the mold'.
So now, basically what we have, for all the teenagers who are shaking their heads and staring at this comment as if I blaspheme, is the same recipe that we've seen for the past thirty years in fighter games, only with [gasp], A MECHANICAL ARM. Wow, that took a lot of thought process, didn't it?
Also, the story was idiotically laughable. It's easy to tell you're not a writer. I'm sorry if I seem harsh, but I see way too many of these games get WAY more attention than they deserve. Oh, and immediately jumping to the cliche of the GOD HAND was just an amateur move.
The influence from Shank was obvious, although that game actually had some interesting gameplay, using a refined 2D Prince of Persia style movement system to make the world flow. Yours appears flat and dull, though with some very colorful backgrounds.
The enemies and bosses, nothing more to say than uninspired. I felt like I was running through the same baddies that I do in every other one of these games I play. And I'll admit, adding a combo system was a good idea to add not only replayability but diversity in your combat style, I saw right through it as a game that was trying WAY too hard.
So, to sum it all up. You've created an awesome redux of every other beat em up ever made. Congrats. Your storyline was incredibly lame, and the dialogue even more so. Combat system was handled very well, but still unoriginal.
You get a 6 for effort. You've got skill, just no vision.
