For a first game
This was fantastic. It really shows that you put some thought and time into this instead of using some hackneyed old game concept with poor animation.
I enjoyed the amusing little plot, as well as the challenges.
It was far too short to be enjoyable though, and the controls were extremely annoying, but all this has been said before. I hope to see more games from you in the future.

seriously this is really fricking short.
also, your controls are really fricking bad.
for the love of god, ice does not make you go only one direction.
neither does land for that matter.
also, its actually physically possible to move after you run into a wall.
fix this game and make it not so mind crampingly annoying to play.
Nice and simple
Overall, this is a good game and you did very well for a short little experiment.
My one problem with this game is that I found the momentum on the ice to be extremely unidirectional and effectively frictionless. I couldn't really get the Fire Starter medal because touching the ice would mean I'd be stuck sliding at my current momentum in whatever direction I was headed, wasting more than a few seconds. Walking backwards or jumping would not really help either until I was at the other end of the ice. I would suggest allowing some sort of realistic friction like most games involving ice where you can somewhat change the sliding or even stand still on ice.
Other than that mechanic, it was a simple and well designed game.
