Reviews for "Halo Reach: Armor Locked"

you sure that was his kid?

if that was the red dude's kid
why was he wearing blue?

DoomzDayChikn responds:

it was just a shirt color, nothing intentional at all

Animation was quite good

Not really sure why its listed under comedy though : \

DoomzDayChikn responds:

listed under "parody," because I was making fun of armor lock

Should have kept it a comedy.

I could see there was some potential for comedy in this, but the "story driven narrative" was so incredibly boring. The constant, "time became more time" cuts were excessive, and it's hard to really get what the point of this flash even was when the whole thing was over. After all the guy that armor locked still had his team win.

If you intend to do more video game based flash, I'd offer the suggestion of maintaining a simple guideline; that parody has the flash take place in the video game, while serious work takes place in the world the game is about. It was oddly meta to watch the blue and red team walk away from the fight like killing each other was just a game, and yet see all the serious drama with the guy watching time pass and have his kid crying when they could just push him off a cliff and have him respawn.

Plot stuff aside, art was pretty solid and animation looked it's best during the beginning scene. All in all not bad but merely needs improvement.

LOL that kid just killed his father!

the shield cant be that good if all it takes is a flick to break it.

DoomzDayChikn responds:

? it wasn't a flick. The boy was "reaching out" to touch his father, but drew back at the last second because he saw the spartan move.

Great

Armor Lock is the single biggest cock block in Halo. It is so frustrating to stick someone, only to have them use armor lock.
Wonderful vid though.

DoomzDayChikn responds:

I completely agree. Thank you for agreeing, and understanding where the inspiration for this movie came from lol
