great game and design, a lil bit on the short side.

Not to say 2d tower defenses aren't fun, but lighting, and even more often chain lighting, is one of the most overused abilities in video games. Anyone who thinks chain lightning is in any way original at this point is either too young or hasn't played enough games. It's been done to death. This game lasted maybe 10 mins, or at least that's what it felt like. It's a good game, but it has some serious flaws that make it frustrating very fast.
-The chain lightning, it doesn't bounce very well. I don't know how you coded your enemy detection, but it isn't working well. The chain lightning sometimes bounces all the way from air to ground enemies, and sometimes not at all.
-The enemy hitboxes were small. They weren't unhittable, but they didn't exactly cover much of the models.
-The enemies stop when you hit them. Even though this makes perfect sense, combined with the hitbox problem, it can be frustrating when chasing an enemy with the cursor to pin him down.
-One enemy in particular that was harder than all the rest by a long shot was the missle firing aircraft. It fired after about 4 seconds on the scree, which is about 3/4 of the screen away from your tower. It also had enough health to require about 1/4 of the tower's fully upgraded battery to kill.
-The recharge rate and damage of the tower never changed, and as such both were horrid by the end of the game. If a machine isnt shorted out by one burst of lightning, I don't think a sustained charge would be any different. In fact, firing at metal grounded tanks with lightning is one of the dumbest tactics I've ever heard of. Planes also get hit by lightning all the time, it doesn't do anything.
Fact of the matter is, the game made no sense, on top of the problems with hitboxes, chain failing, crappy recharge rates, no recharging in between levels, and certain overpowered enemies that take too long to kill.
Note that I gave a 5/10. It's because the lightning looked amazing, and the music was entertaining enough. I also like shooting things with lightning.
