this could turn out to be very addicting!
The idea is simple: squash with a magicarp, but I like the fact that the ball somtimes turns to a random direction!
Maybe you could make the game a bit more good-looking, and different levels with different obstacles.

Well as you say its just a demo. I cant wait to see its final version then ill make a judgement.

It's just pong with only one player, and you did was stick Magikarp on the end of the paddle. There was also a bug where the ball just gets stuck in the middle forever.
Even if you were to add sound effects, music, better menu and game over screens, and fix the bug, this game would still be mediocre at best.
Unless you radically alter the gameplay, I would recommend abandoning this project, practicing more with flash, and trying again when you have a bit more experience.

Notes:
-Don't know how I did it, but I somehow got the ball stuck just going up and down between the top and bottom of the screen.
-There are some invisible walls in places (not consistent). I would hit the ball and it would bounce back to me before hitting the far wall, sometimes almost instantly.
