Reviews for "Mechanical Ice Apocalypse"

impossible movement

ok maybe i'm not spectacular at these kinds of games but i noticed that it's nearly impossible to move at times, especially in diagonal directions. when movement is this difficult, nothing else really matters!

trial and error "lazors"

I'm not going to sit through the game over and over again just to see where these lasers are going...

This was nice effort, but

This is more glitchy than a Gameboy soaked in water.
I can't go left, if I press left and z I go right.

Nice...but

The games and music is nice and all, and thumbs up for story, I think its the best part and hilarious actually it perfectly describes what we have in mind when it comes to heroes in videogames.

But I had a problem and it seems the medal system is a little glitchy i already finished the game, saved the world, hoorray and whatever, but didnt get the WINRAR medal, BRONZE, SILVER, GOLD medals, even though i finished it under 2:20 actually 2:14 min its even there on the highscores of this day.

Not really that I care. I'm using Google Chrome as the browser maybe its Chromes fault, but still something you should check. Dont know under what circumstances this glitch is triggered, i lost a lot of times before finishing the game, maybe thats the problem the time count continues even after dying?

Great game, I love shooters, good for killing sometime, keep up the good work.

American Bullet Hell

That's a good way of describing this. First; I'm impressed that you guys made this in 3 days. Holy shit. I wonder what you guys could make in a month. Graphics, music, controls all great. I liked the idea behind this, and I also liked how each section had its own lifebar and you could destroy each part. Nice touch. I've played a lot of shoot 'em ups and bullet hell games; basically anything made by CAVE that's emulated, plus Gradius, Abbadox, Lifeforce, and the two Neo Geo shooters Blazing Star and Pulse Star. So this wasn't that hard in comparison.

I'm starting to notice a lot of retro revival games are going more toward the muscle memory route where memorization and reflex is key. Especially in a game like this. Great stuff guys.
