not bad
decent game, smooth animation and great sound fx
but I have never been a huge fan of trail and error type games, it's less about "skill" more about having a good memory.
This is basically the game "Simon" just jazzed up.
First of all, the game is really nice to look at. Good graphics, good music, good sound effects. The oeverall package was great.
That being said, the game itself was nothing more than playing a game of memory. It was about memorizing sequences and performing them in order. Which, there's nothing wrong with that, that's the basis of a lot of video games.
But see, when your video game is nothing but trial and error you have to be a little more forgiving on the errors. Why am I to be punished as a player for not knowing the order of the lasers when the only way to know which way the lasers are going to go is to have already played the game or to be the game programmer.
So okay, I'm fine with making a mistake so I can learn what needs to happen. But that little mistake puts you all the way back at the beginning. It's like entering the 4th grade, having your teacher ask you a question you haven't learned the answer to yet and then being bumped back down to 1st grade to try school all over again.
Also, at one point I just stopped firing the gun. There's no reason to even have a weapon in this game. You can't shoot the missiles coming at you and shooting the ship itself does nothing to stop its pre-set pattern.
In the end, there's not much to like about this game, other than the fact that it looks nice.

bit of a hit or miss at first. the lasers were the hardest to figure out but after that it was almost easy, but very fun.

trial and error is just epic fail in these kinds of games. it's all or nutin. fuck the girl or get fucked by a queer. these games demand HP or shields or somekind of power up to make it more bearable. the starting over from scratch is just not cool.
