Reviews for "Icy Cave of Frustration"

Difficult vs. annoying

~ Each level is difficult. That is fun and interesting.
~ Starting at the beginning each time you fail is annoying. That is tiresome and frustrating.

~ Killing cavemen with a falling icicle from a height is difficult. That is entertaining.
~ The voice when you succeed or fail is annoying. That is grating.

~ Struggling to beat a practically impossible game is difficult. That feels good.
~ Struggling to beat an actually impossible game is annoying. That feels bad.

So, if you make this game difficult, rather than annoying, I think it would fun, interesting, entertaining, and feel good.
But right now, your game is tiresome, frustrating, grating, and bad.

ok first off

this is so cruelty to icicles every wher i mean making a game where you have to break them on peoples heads, by presssing one button i say we call P FS I the petitions for saving icicles and the will hadle it, gosh i thoguht this was about killing people but it had a deeper meaning...how can you make this game so fun?

Too hard!

It's not fun when it's that hard! Also, that voice was so annoying.I'm only giving it a 4, because the graphics were good.

Difficulty =/= Fun

Some challenge is always good, but forcing us to replay the entire game every time we miss is just a lazy attempt to lengthen the game.

...

Another one butten game.

I reley dont wan to sound like an ass, but yeah, what everybody else said. This game is frustrating. I know it says Icy Cave of Frustration but there has to be a limit. Plus, skill games like these should be level progression games where you don't restart on the first level once you lose. Forget the fact that all you do is press the spacebar, there's absolutely no problem in that. The concept is okay, but the delivery is bad, I'm not sure why, but I don't fancy the music either.

tomdeaap responds:

well what we've learned is that if you make an extremely difficult game then you can expect diverse reactions C:
