Reviews for "Icy Cave of Frustration"

Great Game....

...but I would like to offer some suggestions to help polish it up a little.

1. Tie the Replay and Start options to the space bar, when I lose I hate having to reach for the mouse each time I want to try again.

2. Have a practice mode which lets to practice levels you have reached in normal play without having the step though all the basic levels first.

3. Let me kill two cavemen at once.

I have to say the as 'frustrating' as the game can be, it does give you that sense of accomplishment that most flash games fail to provide. I am still struggling to get past the 2nd wind stage, but will keep on trying.

Cool thanks for the ideas!

Man

this game is f*cking annoying and stupid(for me) but it is good oh and the most stupid thing is that the restart is from the beggining

tomdeaap responds:

:P can't help it.

Well

I'll admit at first I thought this was going to be a crappy game but then I played it and it actually pretty decent. The controls on the start menu scared me slightly mainly cause its a little hard to understand what they mean until you play the game. Also the wind indicator could be a little bigger and noticeable.

tomdeaap responds:

Hmmm we wanted it to blend in with the background, having it solid color and larger just didn't really look right..

Frustratingly good indeed.

I had a bit of fun with this one, but as the title suggests, I did find it terribly frustrating. I guess it reminds me of those old video games, whereby the gameplay gets harder and death means you go back right to the start. So while you improve at the first part, you gradually get better and better at the parts you keep dying at. Does that even make sense?

Anyway, my only suggestion would be to make points scored in the game (the +5 and +10) appear in bold type font, or something larger so it's easier to read. And maybe even show a tally of your current score, but I guess that's not really necessary.

Will continue to endeavour through this game...for a while longer! *persists* =D

tomdeaap responds:

Hell YEA! that's the spirit!

F--- dat SH--!

IT'S JUST TOO DAMN HARD!!! I'd like to be entertained, not just frustrated. Although the cheezy, motivational bits at the end of each level was enough to keep me going.

tomdeaap responds:

haha!
