Reviews for "§Arbiter§ - Dark Winds"

Splendid!

Very well made song, with a solid theme throughout, interrupted only briefly by a short reverie. The whole layout is well thought out, and the song really fits that of an epic ship battle/departure at sea.

Towards the end of the song some small, drummish thingies can be heard in the background. I am sure that they are there for a reason, but I didn't like them alot, meaning that the song misses the perfect ten by a millimetre.

Keep up the good work!

i like that french horn theme
when that theme reappeared, there was that weird
drum/tabla/side drum sounding thingy which I
particularly didnt like too much
it was almost like my speakers were crackling
with static or something
i dunno about wut other ppl thought of that
that pan flute was definitely unexpected
loved the choir nothing to say about that
strings are nice, jus the typical marcato style
assigned parts. Snare filled the song a LOT
I wanted to hear the horns a little better when
the choir came in but that's just me

o and lemme take a shot at wut VST's ur using
...if any...

1.) edirol orchestral?
2.) Garritan's personal orchestra (i doubt it)
3.) some cheaper version of some kinda East West
software (theyre EXPENSIVE!)
4.) voices of the apocolypse
5.) Philharmonik
sweet job dude
Can't wait to hear ur next song

Now this sounds like a computer game!

Ah the return of those drums you love!

The brass was a bit muted, but brass is almost impossible to get right on a synthesiser.

That's a little quibble really, and only one I'd make to someone who obviously has some talent!

well now, it's produced really nicely, but it's a hard piece for me to judge as I don't know how much of it is an original composition and if it's a midi trk. Very hard to give my opinion as i'm not aware of the original piece, but i liked it nontheless, top notch choice of instrumentation and a polished feel to the trk.

Arbiter responds:

Well damn.
Everything is original, and it's "midi" in the way of being sequenced.
As I previously stated in a review--This has no connection to the actual game "Legend Of Gaia".

sounds like war craft music

u get my point

Arbiter responds:

Can't say I do sir :)
