Decent
It was okay, I like the retro styling, and the fact that this is a defense game, but the biggest downfall for me is the aim. You can only aim in 8 fixed directions. To accurately aim at a target, you'd have to move the character rather than the pointer.
Great game.
I think it's a overall great game, but two changes can make it better:
2 player mode
Biggest stage (it's a little annoying because the small stage doesn't fit very well with the 8-directions shoot system. If you like an example, play Smash TV)
sweet retro atmosphere
My complaints would be the single unchanging landscape, and the frustrating aim system. The aiming is much too rigid, and since I couldn't see a cross hair with the mouse pointer blending in, it was doubly difficult to tell where I would be shooting next whilst constantly moving about.
Yet the music was great (I don't like christmas music, but I won't lower points based on that personal notion,) the graphics were fun and flashy, the upgrade system was nifty, and I enjoyed the concept of protecting an area so you may continue receiving bonus weapons. Great over all :)

I played this until level ~45 or so, and a score of 57,000. I'm not even sure why.
It's frightfully satisfying.
