Reviews for "The Infinite Ocean"

Pretty good

Pretty good, visuals worked, could have done with more sound other than just a music loop.

One problem I ran into was after entering the final password and deactivating the machine thing, when I got to the final door that leads to win (I double checked with the tutorial) the door was not open.
Instead all my items were removed, and when I went back to the starting area to check to see if the paswords had been reset, the doors once more became locked.

8/10 because of that glitch. Other than that, good.

Indescribable

Why do point and click adventures always have the best story lines? In my opinion its because the gameplay is simple enough so you dont have to think about it as much as other games and you can focus on the story.

You sir have done the impossible. You have created a point and click adventure i find so great that i cannot use words to describe it. I usually love the story in point and click adventure games but hate everything else. (i like puzzle games but not P and C games) Everything about this game, however, I enjoyed to the fullest extent.

Stephen King once wrote that the stories that have no ending are the ones that stick with us the most. For me this is unbelievably true. I do not think this game had a "true ending". There is no end, no explanation, no conclusion. But this is a good thing for this game.

When you think about a story with no ending you would think the story would not be good. Take any movie you've seen, take out the last 30 minutes (not including credits obviously) and ask yourself if it still would be a good movie. The answer is almost always no. This is not what Stephen King meant.

Stephen King meant a story left to be put together and concluded by the mind, is better than a story fed to the mind. Your game is a perfect example. I will be trying to fully comprehend and piece together the story for a while.

*spoilers* I still can't figure out who was saying the things on the walls, who was writing on the paper, what the type writer was for, and what exactly did i deactivate? *spoilers end*

I know you can't tell me anything about it because that would defeat the purpose and im not asking you to. I greatly enjoyed this game and it truly deserves a perfect score. Also i forgot to mention the visuals and music were great too. Thank you for such a great game.

Amazing

This is an amazing game
Keep up the good work

Great.

This was a really interesting game that had a really great story line. The music was a great fit for the game and didn't get tiring for me, although i may soon regret playing it at midnight in the dark... Oh well. I thought of it as someone(maybe someone who was often mentioned in the log entries) who had found (him)self in this facility after something happened to the THINK AI (possibly post apacolyptic) obviously giving him amnesia. I really wish that i could know what exactly happened but i guess I'll have to figure that out. By the way, i think that the bridge area was a great touch. Good Job.

Super Game!

That made it's BEST! Telling the truth - I had NO CHANCE getting to the end without the WALKTHROUGH!) However all my 5+10/10 belongs to it!)

I know, sometimes It is dull to read so much, and the only thing that made me read ALL the credits and afterwards that are put there by that guy is that if I thought this planet is worth a game or an text-guide like a flash-game I DEFINITELY WOULD WRITE LIKE THIS and even MORE!))

To the Author:
If you read this - thank YOU!) You have made me wake up from the sort of madness we all are concerned about. I AM. I have been BEING for very long in time and sequence dimensions, and now I am heading to that Ocean.. which is truly pretty much of a sea ;)
