Exceptional standard.
Wow, your games are usually of a very high quality but this raises the bar through the roof. The artwork is fantastic and, because it is hand-drawn, looks customised, sleek and rich. The characterisation, in terms of giving people the right look, is excellent, the music is perfect and the atmosphere is judged just right. This is a surprisingly creepy game.
I suspect this might be a little bit inspired by Silent Hill (nothing wrong with that) and I can see the experience from your other puzzle-adventure games culminating nicely in the project we see before us. There are also (as I have moaned about in reviews of your other games) no obscurely secreted objects hidden to an unfair degree, which is a great pleaser for me.
My only criticism at all, and it's only a minor one, is that the puzzles were a little bit on the easy side and were quite linear. The time thing was reasonably easy to deduce and I don't think you needed the jail-cell character to actually give you the answer to it once you set him free. This is not a major point, although it would be nice in the next part (and judging from your track record there will be a next part) if there were multiple puzzles going on at the same time, involving slightly more difficult challenges of logic. And I stress logic and not just searching around to find invisible items.
This game was great fun and I'll definitely be playing it again in the future, once I have forgotten it a little! You are definitely one of the best adventure-puzzle game makers here. Well done and I can't wait for your next project!
