Why I gave a zero

I'm going to review this as if it were an animation, because there was no point to it being interactive at all.

The beginning of the story: "lost memory" is a terrible, overused, trite plot device to motivate your character to do things. It's been done to death. Learn how to begin a story.

The middle of the story (the gun and the house): when I learned our character had lost his memory and was saying he had a fading painful memory, I thought "he probably killed his wife or something". Oops! I was right.

The end: bah.

There was no characterization whatsoever. If I don't know the man, I don't give a shit about his pain or memories. The reason having Kratos in "God of War" kill his family was a decent plot was because by the time we learn that information, we know and care about Kratos. We know his hopes and dreams and who he is. Therefore, we care about his pain.

It also helps knowing the reason that he killed his family. For instance, in "The Dark Knight" Joker lies to Batman (a character we know and care about because he's been developed) and tells him that Rachel will be at a location she's not at. This is the reason he made the wrong choice. Joker knew what Batman would do and wanted Harvey to still be alive, and lying was the way to do it. This way he would get to Batman and Harvey. This type of storytelling (plot development) is another reason I didn't give a shit about what the man did. Did she kill their child? Did she turn into a zombie? Was it an accident? Was she cheating? What?

With no characterization and no plot development, I honestly couldn't care less about the man killing the woman and killing himself.

I can't stress enough that there was no character or event to care about. I'm thinking about it this way: some old guy I don't know dies of a heart attack. Surely that's a tragic event. But it's not a tragedy to me in any way.

Now, if my grandfather died of a heart attack, it's important and sad. Why? Because I know my grandfather.

I need to stop with this part of the review before it turns into a lecture.

But here's nitpick time! You spelled "Mary" as "mery". No capitalization and incorrect spelling. The screen at one point said "I remember" then "has happened here". The sentence as a whole should be "I remember what happened here".

That's why I gave it zero stars. Not the graphics. Not the "gameplay" (although I have no idea why you needed a jump button... or a button to go left). The story is why I gave it a zero, since that's the only thing there was.
