Can't be just me
Everything about the game looks really cool, but... the glitch that causes the direction keys to lock up every 10 or so seconds is unbearable. All of a sudden your character wont stop jumping or moving left or right until you push that direction again on the keyboard. (I know this is not my PC as I have never had this problem before when using any other programs)
Eye candy with little substance
This is what you get when you let an artist make a videogame. It looks awesome, and I really like the graphical style, but there just isn't that much behind the looks to make it memorable as a game. The checklist of things to have is pretty much all there - lock-and-key puzzles, secret areas, gaining XP and buying new abilities, combo-based fighting system with some special powers thrown in, boss fights, but all these don't mesh together particularly well. XP gain feels unwieldy and weird, but the game is easy enough to beat without upgrading your stats. Same with your special powers - you really don't need anything except your starting healing ability. Different fighting styles and weapons didn't leave much of an impact, either, your only reason for using any style was how cool it looked. Overall, the gameplay seemed shallow and irrelevant to the art and story. And the final two bosses were an example of how not to make bosses: one had extremely cheap one-hit-KO attacks (Dropping you off a ledge), both had way too much HP, making you essentially grind them, while every enemy up until them was comfortably tough - there was no way to know you're going to need those extra attack power-ups, and no way to come back and get them after failing a couple times and getting enough XP.
On the other hand, the art looks great, animation is quite fluid, and the story, while simple, is told well.
Game Breaking Bug
I keep encountering a bug that after I begin a new game and after the little cut-scene with Network I'm put back to the scene with Black Mist, where it prompts you to use the arrow keys to move. Its a infinite loop. I really enjoy the series and wanted to play badly :( I'll check back later to see if it's any different.
The eagle cant move past a barrier on chapter 2 area 2 or smth. its supposed to navigate through spikes but it cant get past a barrier blocking the main guy as well.
On chapter 2 when reach spikes part is reached there is an invisible wall that prevents the eagle and leo from moving forward
