but that's no reason not to give this game a 10! i haven't played 1 or 2 but i can see all the work you must have put in to this, great game! You've got some real talent!
A masterpiece !
I always liked the Armed with Wings series, since the first one ! And this last episode (not the final one, I hope) was purely astonishing. The new hero maybe doesn't have the charism of the previous one, but it doesn't really matter, because the game itself, the level and the music are still here to allow us to fly away trough this black universe.
However, you really should do something about the spinning power. If you keep pressing D, you're not spinning, but you gain the invincibility state and it doesn't reduce your Special. I've been able to go to 500 ennemies in survival with this glitch and i haven't barely move at all.
boss problem
On the giant skull boss, I got knocked above the pillar and couldn't kill myself. If you could put spikes under the bridge, make the pillar higher, etc, that would help a lot. Great game otherwise though!
Really Improving.
This series has really gone a long way from what it was before. The graphics are still great and the gameplay is magnificent. I don't know if it is suppose to be like this in the game, but when I bought all of the life upgrades in one sweep, my life would only stay at 100, only when i died is when it would go to 200, but even so after it went under 100, it would stay at 100. Maybe it's a bug I don't really know but the game was still fun overall. It didn't ruin my experience as i beat the game with 100 life, so I guess it doesn't matter.
Oh and also during survival when i was fighting Vandheer whenever I was in the very edge of the map and he uses the teleport attack type move, the camera would shift all the way to the top of the screen and the camera wouldn't go back unless I got hit by him. It only happened once, so I guess it isn't a problem.
This game is worth it!
Ah its been awhile since I wrote a review about anything. Armed with Wings 3 is a fantastic game with great combat and a fantastic story line!
The game is about 19.6 MB however is totally worth the wait. I started this game a little while ago, I only expected to play it for 10mins like I normally do with any other game, however I found this game was far to exciting just to put down! The only reason why I stopped is because I have to get ready for school. However as soon as I get home this will be the first thing I will be playing (along with playing it in ICT class :D)
The game also features excellent cinomatics which help bring the story to life. The game includes a boy. The boy seems like he's been inspired by a bleach character although it doesn't really matter.
The fluid motion in this game makes it even more fun just to jump around :D I also enjoyed the wall jumping and the clever invention of using the raven to get that extra height that you need!
The game includes a stat system which I found most awesome, however this isn't the best part. You can also upgrade your fighting stance (From what appears to be street fighting to karate kid styles then finally to the god fighting styles) As well as also the opportunity to upgrade your sword fighting stance. Plus being able to see what it looks like in a little window is really cool :P
What also makes this game unique is the... how to put it, lack of colours? The game is mainly made up with black and white with a tinge of blue or brown (chapter 2 and 3) depending on which chapter your in. This I felt made the game that much better. Even with the lack of colouring (Still not sure if that's really what I should be calling it) the games graphics still looks beautiful.
Finally the music. The music in this game is fantastic its pretty easy listening but it has inner beauty and seems to really complete the game. It really creates the atmosphere in this game.
Well done with this game Daniel! You have truly created a masterpiece. I hope to see more from you in the future!
