A looooooottttt of work in this game!

We can tell that you put a whole lot a work in the making of this game.

The game is well thought out. Offers a challenge, a nice learning curve. Even if the story is pretty much absent and not captivating at all, the nice increase in skills, challenges and everything else kept me entertained for a long time.

I want to praise you on the quality of the engine! The fights are smooth. I am amazed at how you kept the balance throughout the game (with items + stats + enemy strength, etc.). Thus, your engine seems flawless. Also, the way everything is animated, the artworks, the sound FX, all of that blends perfectly. I can not state enough how the overall quality of the game is impressive.

However, the soundtrack becomes boring real quick. Also, as equally annoying is the fact that you employed a single voice actor for all of the dialogue. Finally, I have to agree with Sensitive Jerk: while the entire personalization of the character is great at the beginning, it rapidly becomes a double-edged sword becomes of its complexity. Maybe it makes sense for you because you know all of the mathematical equations ruling the game... but for a simple player, it doesn't make much sense to have that many stats to improve. Some of them seem redundant. Some of them seem important. Some of them seem so obscure that we just can't imagine why they are relevant. The game is less immersive for the player when he starts questioning himself about the purpose/relevance/effects of all those stats.
Also, the enormous quantity of stats and numbers make for an ugly screen. See, I really admire the complexity of the design but it seems that simpler could be better in that case.

Anyway, you create a great game and the good news is that you can still improve to make #2 even better. That will justify us to sit again and battle through hordes of wrestlers that come from your imagination.

cool

its like a fine tuned swords and sandles shame that game wasnt very good

Well.. it's ok but there are serious problems

I'm playing as a Mutant. The enemies that cast Intimidate on you are just ridiculous. For three rounds (because that's the level I'm at now) I am almost completely unable to damage the enemy, with like a 20% hit chance for my regular attack. And Intimidate seems to never miss, even though I put a lot of stats into coordination, precision, and speed (13 or 14) and am not wearing any armor with penalties for those stats.

Also I have noticed a lot of enemies come out of stun a turn early. Poor programming.

Good game, needs tweaking

All in all, a pretty enjoyable waste of a couple of hours. Couple of tweaks which would help:
- AI allies were fairly useless, need to ban buffs for them, so they actually attack.
- The equipment seemed to stay pretty low level throughout the game. More powerful equipment would have been good.
- The counterattack ability seems to be broken, I parried regularly but never counterattacked. Note, this is not the case for Waiser.

On the plus side, the one-liners were quite funny, although got repetitive. The level system was good, as you never got to the highest levels in everything, and you had to make some interesting decisions. On the down side, the skill grouping seemed a bit strange, I would have thought mental and mind would be together. Maybe 3 groups instead of 2?

Good effort, hope to see a sequel or more like it.

I had a lot of fun actually playing the game but the stats don't give a clear purpose for wanting them give for your power tree. The battles are what tick me off the most; I wish my 500Gs worth of Cannon Fodder would do more than buff themselves and scream intimidation at the enemy. I hired them to attack, the cannon fodder is nice, though. I like to learn and the game provided much freedom to create my own character and for that I'm grateful. This game is like the hardcore version of Sonny.
