a great start
it looks good so far...just add some more animations such as when you get hit the rings should pop out of sonic...and when you go over the red bumbers you get stuck if you dont jump.

OK FIRST OFF IGNORE THAT IDION THAT REVIEWED THIS GAME BEFORE ME
BESIDES THE SMALL SCREEN SPACE ITS A GREAT GAME AND FOR ALL THE CHEAT CODE ADDICTS OUT THERE I FOUND A GLITCH WHEN U COME TO THE FIRST GIANT WATERFALL AND WHEN U DROP DOWN GO LEFT YES LEFT RIGHT INTO THE WALL AND YOU WILL WALK RIGHT THROUGH KEEP GOING UNTILL U FALL OFF A CLIFF AND HOLD THE RIGHT ARROW KEY AND YOULL BE WALKING ON AIR
A very good attempt
Now I feel my critism will be more usefull to you than blind IT WAS AWESOME!'s, now if was a very good game but it did have some problems, for one the screen should scroll from behind not front, running with only 1 inch of room infront of you is dangerous few enemys or not, also the springs had many glitches as in when you bounce on them it doesnt do the graphic, it does the graphic repeatidly wif you walk through them and you can jump its spring bonus when standing in front of one, also when you almost get hit by robotitnik it does the ring drop sound but no ring drop, and I think you could so a lot more with this, make it longer more enemys and of course robotnik with a giant robot of some sort instead of him just flying around.
Now what really truly impressed me was the sprite movement, you did that with a talent ive never seen before! It was dare I say? perfect? I imagine ill see you again here boy, and I also imagine, youll do great things....
(also I think a keyboard button would be better than the up button for a jump)

This game rocks! Also, to that guy who said ashley just copied the game, i KNOW he didn't copy it because i've talked to him during the making of this and i've even seen parts of it before it was even done.
