tedious and simple

I might be the only one elderly enough to actually remember double dragon, and then Golden Axe (one of the first few genesis games), and then worse still, the sega genesis "The Tick" game. I don't remember any but the last being quite so tedious though. No element of skill. Just mash the a and s buttons. Fight the same stupid things over and over. Some strategy to it like mortal kombat, or even like "Black Belt" (we're talking sega master system here) would be in order. It just doesn't work. It's boring. And it takes a long time to load.

Repetative

The concept was strong, the art style was cool, and the animation was nice; BUT I got sick of seeing the same bad guys, and hearing the same musical loop, and doing nothing but advance right, kill bad guys, advance right, repeat.

Is there even any point ot the apples apart from as score? I played through the first three levels before giving up.

More variation in music and bad guys is needed. Maybe some acheivements to hook people in and keep them playing. But as it stands, there's nothing to bring me back.

Simple button mashing, I got bored before I even got any of the powers, but from other comments they don't seem to actually make it more interesting... There is just wave after wave of animals. There isn't even a defence or a jump button, there is no aspect of strategy or tactics. The story line is pretty non existant, all in all a very disapointing game.

Graphics are nice, but that is about all..

ok...but

It was ok, I like the new take on the Snow White story but...I have to say once you hit the next to last and last level your really screwed. I mean you just get mobbed; it's more of a challenge getting TO the boss than the boss itself; and even if you're hitting something you're still getting hit. What I would suggest if adding power ups I know that you get special attacks but if your being mobbed you can't pull them off.

I'd suggest useing all those apples your collect as some kind of money so you can buy better claw hands, more armor, more lives, bigger/better combo attacks, ect. And add in a few one button combos/powerups so that your have a chance to pull one off or have an "ace in the hole" to pull out when your getting swarmed. With a few minor tweaks--for example STOP the mutated beasties from rushing at you at warp speed so you can hit them, and lessen the ammount of monsters that you have to take on at one time--and you'll have a great game.
