Reviews for "Secret of Mystery House"

Not bad

Not a bad game at all really. I ended up fnishing in 20 minutes, while talking to friends and doing other stuff at the same time, lol. The puzzles are all challenging but definitely not challenging enough to need a walkthrough for, just a little bit of effort and trial and error. It sucks that most of the messages were in spanish, I wish you had translated all of those too, but oh well. I guess that just adds another element of challenge, LOL.

The gameplay was really easy to figure out, and I liked that aspect a lot. Not challenging controls at all. The sounds were all very appropriate and not irritating. The drawings were all good, and the animation was up to par. All in all a great mystery point and click type game. Keep up the good work.

RetroRex responds:

Thanks, I pretty much planned this game a lot in a drawing board, hooking up the puzzles and what not. Just a simple grab and play point and click scavenging game. I will actually work on a sequel for it, but I guess it wont be done anytime soon. Probably in couple months. Thanks for the score.

quite good

I was a bit sceptical after reading the reviews, but it was actually quite good. The choice of music was chosen well. The challenges were easy but it was interesting to play.

Game environment is really good with different areas for exploration. The most creepy area wasn't the basement, but the bathroom with a toilet bowl. You'd see what I meant by clicking on it. Occasional scary scenes coupled with brilliant sound effects made me want to leave the house as soon as possible.

Game play is simple. However, I didn't know the house had two stories until I clicked the staircase and saw the map had changed. Objects to find are: two keys, a teddy bear's head, a hammer, a rope, three pieces of paper, a music note, and three jewels.

alright.

Not to easy but not too hard. The puzzles are solved by what you think they'd be solved with. And to you people complaining about the Spanish on the item descriptions, they say exactly what you would expect. A piece of paper with a number on it, a diamond, etc. It's not making you miss out on the game.

seems decent

kind of reminds me of Alone in the Dark
