Reviews for "The humans are dead"

This knocked my socks off!

I came expecting just another robot basher, but what I got was a challenging and rewarding game! My only complain is there was no multiplayer mode. Either way, this was great! keep making games like this!

sucks

It dosent work at all, when you start it stays forever in the intro and it tells me to click something when there's nothing to click.

Board games.

Board games are good. Awesome game.

Great game!

This is a great game. I absolutely love it. Though there are only 4 classes, it is varied somewhat. Though that doesn't mean it's without it's flaws. The biggest flaw I found was that your tutorial didn't cover combat. This wouldn't be a problem in other circumstances, but it took me until the middle of my second game to even figure out which number I was supposed to be looking at. Rather than the red and green number, do you think you could do something more visual so that no one else thinks they will win a fight and end up losing? (Maybe if you could bring up their faction picture so you know whose stats are on which side during battles). Aside from the battle, there were only 2 other problem I found. One is that the Hiveminds (The first faction I picked) doesn't get as many bonuses as the others (I know it's based on a board game, but just for the sake of balance, throw them a bone) and the Scibots don't lose anything, and get the biggest bonuses. The other problem is that some things aren't explained as well as they could. Such as Defense Units can't move (Making me waste my first unit in my first game), the purple spaces can't be walked on (This problem also makes me wonder if the boards are random, as every game I've played, the computer's purple tiles always tend to be in positions that benefit them, whilst mine tend to hinder me), and how to get Defensive Units to power each other (I've only managed to get this to happen twice, despite them being in adjacent spaces). So, if you can explain the battle system IN GAME, as well as balance out some of the classes, and make the instructions less vague, then this game would be one of my favs!

Oh, I almost forgot that this game has medals. Hopefully they'll all work (I've gotten 3, one of which apparently doesn't exist (The one with advisor's face).

Bringing up the faction pictures is a great idea! Thanks for the suggestion, will definitely add that if I release a future version. Oh, and the purple pools are completely random.

A good game, but...

I had a bit of a problem with it being unbalanced (or bad luck, your choice). The enemy always got good evolution cards, while mine were usually no benefits. The enemy won every single battle I got in with it (regardless of my combat+ stat, how many other defenders I had next to it, what race i was, or if my defender was on a activated resource, even if it had 3 allies next to it, and it was my last one. They enemy STILL killed it by at least 5). Plus, to make matters worse, i understood NOTHING of how battles work. I had to learn what I know firsthand, through trial and error, because combat isn't covered in your tutorial. And to top it off, your tutorial was rather vague, and left me questioning many things about gameplay. And, yes, this all happened on easy mode.

Luck is part of what makes board games fun, as long as player skill plays a bigger role. I suggest you to read the tutorial tips one more time, because this game has a lot of little rules that can be hard to memorize at first, and if you still have doubts please ask here and I will reply to you :)
I just wish I had more players to tell me how to improve the tutorial before the game was released!
But your doubts now can help me improve a possible second version of the game in the future, so please ask away
