One of my favorite games despite the length and simplicity. A game that actually sticks with you for a long time.
I love storyline in games, and sometimes it's storyline alone that drives me to play them to the end.
This game is very clever, in the way that the story is not so much force fed to you, but instead the player themselves become curious and explore more, therefore uncovering the truths behind the strangeness they sense in the camp.
To improve, I think you should make the endings longer to reward the player more for uncovering each ending. For example, more cut scenes and the like. I felt a little unsatisfied when I finally beat the card game and all I got was a text ending about cake, then BAM back to the menu screen. For the normal cake ending, perhaps show the cake and kids gathering innocently to eat it, something mundane and normal, to contrast the twist ending. Perhaps with a line or two in there by the parents making the player feel like there is more to the story. (Some sort of prayer hinting about war maybe... etc.)
