It was a nice animation, and had a great stoyline. The music really sets the moot and overall it was a nice animation.

Shocked with comments and author's attitude
Quotes the author: "It helps to know and understand the unpleasant flaws in a womans character that they derive from not understanding a man's wishes and desires(...)"
So this flash is about WOMEN and how horrible and evil they are compared to the truly spiritual and wholesome motivation of MEN. It's not about "some girl I dated for a while", but WOMEN in general.
If people who are unfamiliar with Newgrounds ever needed a reminder that this place is mostly populated with teenage boys (I'm aware the author is not a teenager, but the mindset is absolutely there), they only need read the comments for this flash. It's not poor spelling and obnoxious 1334 talk that gives the age away, it's not the constant desire for battle scenes, dick jokes, and swearing; it's the amazingly misogynistic views that the comments seem to hold for this flash. (I also won't be shocked when this review is rated as "unhelpful" because it doesn't agree with everyone else.)
Watching the flash, the impression I got was one of unequal love. A story where one person loves another more than the other person loves them. As this happens both to males and females frequently, I didn't need to read "WOMEN are evil" into the story. However, the author of this flash seems to agree that women are, in fact, just horrible materialistic entities who, in general with the exception for a select few, desire only to make men feel bad.
One could easily argue that (in the flash) the man is at fault for trying to find and force something that is not there. We never, ever see the woman smile from the first gift, and yet the man assumes she loves him because of a gift. He is then upset when she doesn't like the second gift. Maybe she doesn't want *things*. Maybe *things* aren't what make women happy. But the author wants the audience to think "because she didn't like this *thing* I gave her, she clearly is greedy."
Sometimes the girl loves the guy more than he loves her. It's called unrequited love, and both of the sexes abuse it and stumble through it from time to time. Just because a woman doesn't feel the same way as a man, this doesn't make her EVIL or materialistic. But again, this goes both ways. Both sexes get carried away sometimes and make mistakes and come to incorrect conclusions. It's not just WOMEN.

Animation: choppy - the general idea of being swept into love is good, but the execution reminds me a bit more of a mixing bowl in the kitchen, than a swirl of love. There is a well-placed pause when the boy shoves his hand into his heart, but overall, the anatomy is inconsistently rendered. It looks less like a "style" and more like a "this will do for now; I'll call it experimental".
Story: poor. If the author's intent was "we've all been in relationships like this", that is, one-sided relationships.. then it's there. But, as by his own comments, the story is supposed to be "women are materialistic and men aren't", this doesn't work at all. It shows one guy doing one thing (the same thing! .. which in it's own way can be said to be lazy or thoughtless) and one girl unhappy with this one guy. It doesn't work as a sweeping condemnation of the female sex, nor as a sweeping exaltation of the purity of men.
Colors: limited palette works well and the color choices were appropriate. Grey, white and yellow together give a bleak view of the situation.
Music: understated. Pleasant soundtrack, but didn't match precisely. A bit more hang or a slip into minor at the evil moment would have worked well.

Third: Compared to women, men sometimes might seem like insensitive apes, but there is one thing I never have seen a man do: Just giving a shit and
behaving like an asshole when he is confronted with total compassion... This might be an empiric point of view, but on the other hand I have encountered so many women who were in happy relationships who changed their minds from one moment to the orther and decided to suck another guys cock (literally) or do other hurtful things. My cartoon is about that kinda stuff, but I'd like people to interpret freely and I am very pleased that the reviews lead to a discussion.

Great movie
I love this. This flash has deeper meaning then the normal flash. It shows how women want more and more new things to keep them satisfied with you. Say you lose your job and you are on the tight end and have only money for food and the essentials. Some women will stay with you and help you through this but most will leave you in the dust. I enjoyed this flash.

Nice idea...
I liked this animation because I do believ that in our time women only want material pleasure. And only once that material pleasure is fulfilled are they truly happy with the man they are with. This happiness is never permanent though, and women really can be complete evil beings...I've learned through experience. Even if a man will be willing to give a woman anything, even his heart, and his own life, she could still turn him away...it's sad, but true.
