Falls short

I can tell you put a lot of effort into this, but the sum total of all the parts just fails to deliver. I didn't find the platforming engaging, and I had a hard time finding myself caring about whatever plot there was supposed to be.

The animation was spotty, making some parts well drawn while others failed to wow me. The character I controlled for instance was unengaging, and ran like a weirdo. It's difficult as there are some obviously flawed parts that detract from the rest of the decent work around it. For instance when the main character goes over the cliff in the boat, the boat and scenery itself is rather well done, but the character's outstretched arm looks so abysmal it's all I could look at.

Tim the pirate's voice acting was irritating as well, but that's not a huge issue.

I could only stomach playing to the second section where the robots appeared, I was tired of dying from not knowing which parts of the background were platformable.

Need some tweaking

Look, I know MANIFOLD below me says not to judge this before getting through, but I'm going to do that anyhow. You see, while I found the game world lots of fun, and the music especially good, I just didn't think the actual game aspect was very well executed.
A lot of headache was caused by that oh-so-common problem with platformers: the background is indestinguishable from the actual platforms, which means you end up leaping to your death far too often. My major problem, though, was with the controls. It's just so bloody clumsy it's annoying. And my problems had nothing to do with ram. There's a lot of small things like that which just make the game so bloody hard. I have no problems with a challenge of skill, but this was not the good sort of "get black belt in karate" difficulty, but rather the "assemble a bike using a paper clip" difficulty. It just doesn't work.
I'll give you a 5, because I think with a bit more work this could really be something ace.

I was killed...

over and over for the stupidest reasons. I never died from the enemies but only from falling. So many times I thought I needed to go down or that some thing was a platform and I just ended up falling to death, once there was a robot on a rock and I jumped to kill him only to fall through the rock he was standing on, I mean come on, WTF. The controls are alright and the graphics are nice but the game feels empty at parts and gets boring fast.

eehh..

its alright, idk what else to say about it......

The music was enchanting.

But the controls lagged a lot for me, making it pretty much impossible to play. Also, they were awkward to begin with. I wish you'd chosen some better keys for actions.
