Better than Adventure Island
Well despite the low rating and critical reviews, I found this game to be enjoyable and smooth. Of course as a precaution I put my player on low resolution, since I have a 400MHZ processor. The music was excellent, even though the loops were a bit messy. I would say the author has great potential and talent. This is much better than I would have expected from someone's first game of this type. Good job!
Well...
The game was slow. I was sit there and press the spacebar. Then I would wait as the chimp jumped in the air and landed on a snake. That gave me all kinds of different doubts. Secoundly, the graphics wern't anything special. I did like the thumping noises used in the background. It did remind me of the old Donkey Kong County games, but I still only found less then a quarter of it entertaining. Keep it up, but this is bad work!
Very good game
Seriously, make more of these levels. Certain things are choppy, like the hills, and I'm not quite sure how I arrived at the ending, but other than that, I really liked it.
