I have some ideas for things to work on but there short fun things that have a completely different feel to this.

Great, fluid and professional looking animation. I agree that it looks like something you would see from Disney. I didn't find the length a problem at all. All around a great little short.
You said you wanted it to be a short film? How about turning it into a short series of flash animations?
