The color palette makes me think of water, that the love between these two girls flows like water, like their hair. We see them going beyond their windows, beyond the view afforded to them, to reach out and make real contact. One has her eyes closed in a peaceful bliss, while the other appears to be winking so as to say, "You get what's going on here right?" Or maybe she too had her eyes closed and has now opened them to sneak a peak back at the the eyes staring through the computer screen. "Surprised are you?"
