Amazing, I'll say it over and over again...
I have called things epic before, but this blew my mind away. I apologise in advance if this looks like a rant, but I can't stop saying how good this flash is!
I could use a number of words to describe this: beautiful, enigmatic, breathtaking...meh, I'm probably getting too worked up about this or something but seriously this is a very damned good piece of work, congrats :)
What struck me first before anything was the amazing quality of the voice acting...OMG I don't know where to start it was so deep, so professionally done.
The story-line, animation, sound? Don't get me started. It was really good!
In regards to the story-line, I think what made all of these factors give the ultimate punch was that there was a really successful combination of mystery, violence and analysis/introduction/dialogue of characters - not only that, unlike other flashes of the same sort of genre; which when they do a prologue/first episode, usually has a distasteful, artless combination of gore and senseless violence with minimal story-line, this flash had every factor in the right proportion - and even though not much of the story wasn't given away enough was given for the viewer to enjoy.
Your animation certainly wasn't a let down either - it was a great complement to your story-line. However, I will make the complaint that at times the seemingly neckless view of your stick figures, and the flat facemasks of the soldiers was at times annoying. But nothing in this world is truly perfect is it? This criticism is meant to be constructive :)
Oh and another thing, when people compare this to another of my favourites, the Castle series, I say they shouldn't because there is nothing to compare. In my opinion the Castle series and RedHand are two seperate series, great in their own right and most of all they're different. Sure they're about darkness and violence but they are obviously made in two different perspectives. They really shouldn't be compared, its like saying they're as equally good or bad as each other, and of course they're not.
I'm not sure if I'm overreacting or something, but only occassionally people have the chance come across a superb work of art, something that looks and feels great from every single angle and perspective, so much that makes you want to forget it even has miniscule imperfections...and this flash is one of those instances :D
Sorry for the rant. Nonetheless, a really great job well done! I can't wait for the next episode, and it's definitely one of my favourites!
