Bah, I suck with summaries
It's a great game overall. I suck at general reviews, so I'll just list the pro's and cons (in my opinion):
Pros:
- In the beginning, money is tight, but that first $1,000 you start with can get you a Goliath Cannon, and that alone (Well, that and a few walls) got me up to round 35.
- Walls are nice.
- I actually hate air units with a passion, but they keep the game from being too easy (and also keep me from getting to wave 100)
- This one is probably an unintended glitch, but you can still place turrets and walls while the game is paused
- You actually get full refunds for selling walls and turrets. It REALLY helps, since money is so tight. You can sell some ground only turrets and buy some missile launchers/flak cannons, then sell those and get your normal turrets back again (So stop bitching about money issues, people)
- The repair cost rises as more waves go by, so you can't just spam repair in later waves
Cons:
- On the level selected by default, the base is only half-way into the alcove (and the mountain right in front of it keeps me from putting an extra "last-line-of-defense" turret)
- I wish there was a fast-forward button, since some of the units (especially in the beginning) take forever to get to my turrets
- In most tower defense games, you get a little bit of bonus money for calling in the next wave early
- This one is more of a personal preference, but I like to be able to press a hotkey to select a tower to place (though I can see why it would be tricky to hotkey the turrets in this game, since 1~= isn't enough)
That's about it. It's an awesome game, I hope to see a sequel.
