Good bossfights.
The bossfights were pretty entertaining, but everything in between was a little... meh. Not bad, by any means, but not great.

I hate to say it
But I wasnt very impressed. Its been done before and yeah its a fun top down shooter but honestly it doesnt take much. I found out that just picking the guy with the best offense and getting the spread power up was usually enough to decimate anything... until the controls and sub par hit detection came into play. The controls themselves where alright but combined with the hit detection I found myself getting power ups way too far away from me that I didnt want and getting hit by enemies I should of cleared. I tried the invincibility one time going for a health pickup and blam... I died... I mashed the button a few times before I even flew in and nothing. And yes I still had 2 of them left. Great now I get to start off with a fresh bird and no power ups at all. But then again between missions your power ups dont carry over forcing you to either know what aircraft type is best for the mission or start fresh and hope it makes it. Even a little variety would of been nice between planes. A fast bird gets heat seekers while the strong slow ones get a massive cannon that shoots through multiple enemies. Anything... but nothing... more of the same with maybe one or two new enemies each level. I wanted to like it but I just couldnt get into it.
A sequel with some minor touches would rock but this just fell short.

i kinda liked it, and that goes for this game and the actual HAWX game too, it was fun, but not really the kind of games i like to play
