Reviews for "Myth Wars"

Epic War 0.5

Aside of the bad English throughout this game it was just a poor copy of Epic War with:
- fewer upgrade options (so I have 5 points, but can only upgrade once?)
- restrictive battles (Look at these awesome sea units that you can only use four times)
- imbalanced races (massive splash damage on cannons, none for ground on the dark race)
- and poorly coded AI (units on Defense deciding to run towards the enemy base with no provocation, archers running up to melee units to die).

level 9 is going for ever...

its not a bad game but you shuld hav to choose ur units and how much befor hand so it doesnt go on forever.... im still playing level 9... other than that.... pretty good

cannon fodder

at level 28 the gameplay became very difficult. maybe I was missing out on some sort of rock scissor paper component but it really felt like I was just sending my dark age guys to be blown apart by those damned cannons.

the carrot of upgrading your units did keep it fun at first. I would like to be able to dump all my points into one unit though, if desired.

anyway, I think I played it for quite a while because of the art direction. I really enjoyed it. it was like an old medieval manuscript come to life and I thought it was quite well done.

kudos on all the hard work, guys.

hmm

seems a bit similiar to epic war... except the fact that there's no way of training to become stronger if you feel your too weak for that particular level. Because you don't get any experience from losing and you can't redo a mission either...

I liked the first levels, but then it became a bit annoying that I couldn't improve my strength.

And how come the player starts on the right side of the screen. That confused me a lot in the beginning, so I didn't quite get why I lost at first, but then I figured that I was looking at the cpu.

Pathetic

Some bugs I found,
1) Archers walk into melee range to attack. I assume this is caused by the knockback skill that some melee units have.
2) Units actually go into the enemy stronghold instead of attacking it on some levels.
3) Player air units attack piority was on ground units and not air, if that's the case, what's the point of having air units?
Some issues/suggestions I have,
1) Opponent build time is too fast. I wiped out the opponent's army just to have my army butchered at the enemy stronghold, where another army was already waiting.
2) Upgrading of units is very restrictive.
Add in some other options for upgrading, like:
i) Attack and movement speed increase
ii) More increased armor for melee units OR damage return
iii) Increased range for ranged units
3) Allow more upgrades per level, instead of making it once per level, why not increase the points needed for higher level upgrades instead?
