Just about what i expected, after all, i cant live forever... and shit happens.
My Suggestions:
As a general rule of decomposure, the eyes of zombies would deteriorate beyond use after about 12 days or more depending on the climate of ur region thus making being quiet ur most useful tactic when looking for supplies. this also gives u an advantage, if u can activate something very loud like a chainsaw or a car horn then get away fast enough, the zombies would be attracted to the sound and you could search the area more quickly and safely without wasting energy or ammo. The noise would also make aware any survivors that they arent alone. Using melee weapons or any kind of blade would be ideal as they dont make too much noise and have infinite ammo, unfortunatly u must risk being close to zombies.
If you can gather a group of 30 or more people, i strongly recommend finding securing and operating a power plant. At that point, any refrigerated supplies might still be salvaged. The power plant will be the base, every week and a half send a group of 4 to 6 people in a car to get supplies, and a team of 2 on bikes as back up. the rest will keep the plant going and maping out the region of where to look for supplies next. Any information from the supply groups is important as they can actual see whats going on in the surrounding areas. this should be an efficient way to survive in a large group for an extended amount of time.
And for those of you wondering, yes i am aware im paranoid of a zombie attack
