Reviews for "Color Theory"

uhh

I don't know if it's just me being really good at the game... but it was way too easy for me, I usually don't even complete puzzle games! I completed the last level with dying only one time lol

This is...

one of the best platform game I played in my life. And for sure the best one this year. Gratz! 10/10

good game

its a good game overall, but im stuck on level 22, that one is difficult, it requires timing, which is good
originally i thought you were just mistaken on the primary colors (since i was thinking yellow instead of green which is also true,), but then i remembered that was with paint and this is with light, so yeah, lolz, fail i guess

nice and tricky

very good puzzle game

This game is a masterclass in puzzle platforming design. Each level has a clear solution that is more difficult to execute than it is to figure out.

One of the biggest complaints I have with puzzle platformers is the unclear nature of how to solve each puzzle, leaving you to spend more time on the puzzle side of things than the platformer side of things. In Colour Theory, the puzzle is laid out directly infront of you, and putting the pieces together is a matter of precise and consistent platforming rather than loose puzzle design.

In addition, there are several levels that take advantage of the platforming mechanics and more or less ditch the puzzle mechanics. That's not to say there is no color switching, but it is incorporated in a way in these levels that enhance the experience.

Overall, I didn't expect to play this one all the way through when I started up, but each death gave that satisfying "one more time" feeling that keeps us hooked on video games.
