Reviews for "How to Draw a Male Figure"

Heyyya!

Well thanks for using my audio here! I greatly appreciate it!

As far as the animation, I think your artwork is pretty good. You've got a lot of talent!

I think however, that you should make the audio not restart each time you click somewhere, however, I'm not a programmer, and I don't know how hard that is.

Anyways, you've got a good thing here. Nice work!

JTmovie responds:

thanks for the review and thanks for making the song!

not too bad

It's good. Your art is okay.

Not sure what you mean by the circle method you came up with. There are lots of books showing you how to break down the body into basic shapes in order to simplify drawing. It's a smart approach, but not a new concept.

Your hands really need work. You make the main part of the hand too short. If you straighten your thumb alongside your hand, your knuckles start at nearly the same level as the tip of your thumb. The first knuckes (each row of knuckles, in fact) should follow a curve sweeping at the end of the hand, not be level with each other.

You could have got more detailed with the tutorial. The file size is still relatively small. Going into facial and body proportioning would be useful.

Not horrible

You've got spelling errors and other problems, but this tutorial should help people get a decent end result.

"TIP: The length of the upper leg is the same as the length of the knee down to the foot"
Then you've got two measurements each labelled "3 feet", but the two measurements were clearly different in size, and you made the thigh have the shorter end when the feet weren't even shown to give the lower leg its "3 feet". Made me laugh. Despite messing up there, I think that's a pretty good general rule, though.

On the side view head, I don't think your "bend for forehead" really makes sense... I think it would be more appropriate to call it the brow, or just to put a little indent around the eye.

I don't think you've quite got the hang of hands...

Not a great tutorial, but not a bad one, either. It covers quite a bit, though not as in-depth as I would prefer. You forgot to include a part for drawing feet.

JTmovie responds:

thanks for the comment.

The feet are up now. I forgot to add a button to them :P so if your intertested...

the music gets annoying after a while but without that this tutorial is ok

well

i cant really say
