Reviews for "Arrival In Hell 2"

This is Awesome a 8

I love the funny things that happen in this AIH like chuppa when you give him that imaginary shovel or something and hes like digging away at the ground and bumping up and down. i'd have to say that the animation was a bit sloppy maybe the dialouge to but really the game was amusing awesome and also that small horror feeling you need more of horror pls in the nxt one, I got all the endings and also the timeline. I guess This AIh is better then the first a bit.

Nice

The interface worked a lot better and made the game a bit less frustrating than its predecessor. The branching of the environments was also an improvement. Overall a great atmosphere.

The only legitimate complaint I have is about the cut scenes. Not every door unlocking and object needed a cut scene but that isn't the point. The real issue is with the drawn out pregnant pauses where the character just sits there and breathes for a few seconds. It made the game seem unnecessarily sluggish at points.

This game seems like it's going for horror, but when it's a puzzle or escape-from game, there isn't really any tension. A good way to add tension would be to give a time limit for a few segments of the game. Another way to add tension would be the possibility to fail an objective, like someone dies because of the player's fuck-up.

Thanks for the game!

Still pretty good

I'd agree that going with a clear theme would be good in the future. You're kind of torn between horror/suspense and a cute but violent puzzler here, and they really don't mix and actually kind of detract from each other.

If you make a third, stick with the style you did the first in, it really did look better. Looks like there's more to explore and click at here, though, which is good.

Otherwise, still good as far as NG point-and-click goes. I always appreciate puzzles that make sense regardless of difficulty.

Buggy, but interesting

@Fear57 Play the first game again, and pay attention to what happens at the very end. If you still don't understand by then, I truly feel sorry for you.

Anyway, in spite of the typographical errors that are bound in almost every piece of dialogue, the bugs that occur when you don't "trigger" a cutscene normally (which cause looping cutscenes to happen), one of the magical barriers inexplicably blocking an important doorway if you are forced to continue for whatever reason, and the redundant use of the Doomguy pain sound, this is a nifty game. It's definitely clear that the idealist behind the game had a unique vision, and that's what I like the most. The main character has an anti-hero attitude that is, at times, a little bit humorous.
Good luck to you if you continue this storyline in a third submission.

I personally prefer the first game's artstyle, but this is still cool.
