Reviews for "_-=[The Maestro's Requiem]=-_"

Nice work

I like the rhythmic quality of this song.So many contrasting aspects. I like the drums very much.Good use of tension too. Its a shame its your last final song on NG. A great listen.

MaestroSorrow responds:

Thank you, I tried to make it a song people would really like.

So I guess this is it, huh?

Oh. My. God.

What's that? Strings? In the melody?! Hey... my incessant nagging paid off! =D

I really like the introduction with the brass. It merges well into the rest of the piece. The little details you threw in were a nice touch too (voice in the background; I almost missed them).

The ending isn't what one would expect. It strikes me as metaphorical. It ends in an open way, as if (oh, how to word it?) depicting your departure and the ... unknown beyond all this.

It's kinda sad to know that you're leaving (virtually and otherwise). But know that you can still p[r]oke me if you ever need another ear to listen to your WIPs.

Good luck in your future compositions and other endeavours. Take care of yourself. I'll miss ya, so keep in touch, 'kay?

MaestroSorrow responds:

Yes, your constant "BUT WHERE'S TEH STRINGS MELODY!" finally drove into my subconcious... now if only somebody screamed "BUT GET TEH WORK DONE!" every hour on the hour, it might make me do it!

Indeed the ending, was to indicate my sudden departure.

I will proke you... horribly... crush your ribs and the such.

Thank you ^^.

A Shame

A shame that as soon as I start submitting my own pieces my two favorite artists that have inspired me the most leave.

I'll miss you from the bottom of my heart.

Due to my current schedule I won't be on AIM very much... I will mostly be on very late around 12:00 AM Eastern.

I look foward to talking to you then, about both our pieces, VST's, and more.

MaestroSorrow responds:

Don't worry, i'll always be here to help you out if ya need it ;).

Thanks for the review Serenity.

Dear Maestro,

MaestroSorrow responds:

*death*

heh, inside joke guys.

Thanks MusicalRocky, keep up the good fight.

damn good

great piece, very clear and very inspiring..

sad to see another great artist leave...
it is only recently that i have been listenin to the audio portal and already two of the best have already left!!

good luck maestro and may your legacy be forever engraved in NG history!!! U to MilkMan Dan!!

MaestroSorrow responds:

Thank you 12_Gauge_07.

Like I said earlier, our departure is like removing your fist from a bowl of water. For a second, there is gap, that gap is then immediatly filled, and then the remaining ripples calm down. This is how the cycle goes, very soon the surface will be calm again, and we will likely be forgotten. I am just happy during my stay, I was able to assist some of the artists here. I hope they all go where they want to.

Thanks for the review ^^.
