Reviews for "Pokemon: Fated Encounter"

Mediocre

in the worst sense of the word. Animation was decent as there were a few good parts, but lack of trueness to the original game and series. Ground type moves such as Earthquake and sandstorm i'm guessing...would not effect rayquaza as it is a flying type. Other than that the fact some of the pokemon having moves they wouldn't originally be able to learn and having more than 4 moves each (EX: Lucario with blaze kick.) Apart from the negatives in this flash it introduces a very exciting new form of pokemon fighting.

Okay

No offense, but the way the characters were drawn and animated is not as pleasing as it would of been in 2004...

Can't see shit, cap'n.

Seriously, shit's flying everywhere nonstop. First of all it doesn't run smoothly because the screen NEVER stops moving. At times it's like "wait wtf just happened," and there were a couple of scenes in there where I swear to god you just made the screen do a 900° spin for no apparent reason. Calm down with the screen movement. Maybe that would work if you had better technology, but with a Flash cartoon it basically just makes people think "wtf you're serious?"
Second thing is, it's extremely repetitive. I literally thought I might be watching a ytmnd flash loop about half way through. One side shoots an energy ball, the screen follows the energy ball to the opponent, the opponent recovers and fires an energy ball to the first guy, the screen follows the energy ball to the first guy, the first guy recovers and fires an energy ball. Rinse and repeat. The thing is, energy balls are fantasy. The reason that, say, a stick figure fighting flash can do well and yours can't, is because when a stick fight flash shows a guy getting hit, people can relate to how bad it'd hurt, or how hard it'd be to throw such a punch. With yours, no one thinks "Oooooh snap man. That guy just got hit with a blue energy ball! Everyone knows those are the worst!" We think "...so is that like...powerful? :U" The whole energy ball idea is nothing more than a failed attempt to look godly-powerful, really.

My advice is to stop trying to be so over-the-top dramatic, cause it's not working, in my opinion.

not so good...

nottheclownsuit has a very valid point and i agree with him all the way. You need to work on the animation and drawings of the characters. they were in very very poor detail. Also, a peice of advice from me would be to make your own sounds instead of using the sounds from the program. All the time i was thinking of how much this sounded like a sped up version of super smash bros. Z. and in the loading screen, you need to fix their eyes. One is looking at the ground, the middle guy is okay, and the guy with lucario is looking straight at her boobs, and salamence does not smirk like that, nor any pokemon. i know you were adding it in for an angry effect but to be truthful, you should have left his mouth closed. Also, fix the animation on when rayquaza first appears because all of his boddy parts are shaking in different ways which is the sign of a poor animator (not saying you are one but it is just a warning). Finally, when the lady person first appears, fix her closed eyes. She either looks like she's trying really hard to keep them closed or she looks like she wants to let out a massive fart. peace
