Classic Platforming Madness
This game is an excellent example of how a platformer. The gameplay is fast and frantic, the controls are tight and responsive, and the music really keeps you moving. Although I wasn't particularly fond of avoiding the titular acid rain, I'll admit that it puts a new and interesting spin on what would otherwise be a fairly plain game.
Another upside to this game is how short it is; one of my biggest complaints with games nowadays is that they try to be much longer than they deserve to. This results in a 40-hour-long slog through a story no one cares about. Acidrain, on the other hand, is a game you can beat in 10 minutes whose story can be summed up as "Everything wants you dead. Now don't die."
All in all, Acidrain is a fun, momentary diversion. It might not be winning "best game" any time soon, but it's pretty hard not to enjoy it while you're playing it.
