The beginning left me speechless, there's some amazing animation right there, I really enjoyed it! After it got all sketchy it turned me down a lot, plus the screen went blank while telling the tree story, right after she starts thinking out a plan, poof white and nothing. I truly hope to see the finished work, seems like a potential classic.
Also JohnJenkins2315, the human being always was attracted by jewels, for either fancy or to use them as amulets, talismans and whatnot, and the creator can just give them a different purpose, it was referred as "Guardian Pearl" that tells me it has some kind of clear meaning for them already. What did you expect them to do with a pearl? Sell it on E-bay? Clearly not, jeez

Finish it
The art work in the beginning is outstanding. You got great animating skills there. However, I think Newgrounds people want to see the fully animated video than a spoiler draft. So please get to it and Keep it up.

Good Animation
I understand that you're going for the anthropomorphised effect but it's hard to feel that when the main characters are being referred to using rigid scientific designations. Also, the main character wouldn't have any use for pearls.

Hi! Thanks for the comment. Do you feel that the characters are less relate-able because I put the latin names? Also, the pearls are supposed to be special ... maybe that's not clear ...
