Reviews for "Born of Fire TD"

Very tough, but rewarding

Don't get put off by the grindfest that seems to be the first hour or so of the game. By the time you reach the 6th and 7th levels you will find that simply maxing out attack just doesn't cut it, and you will need to use team synergy if you want to survive. The waves of 1000+ HP devils at the end of the 7th level was particularly challenging to me, and the battles after that appear to be at least as brutal. My main strategy is to have my Kings use Spiritual Healing to massively increase MP regeneration while my Kitsunes blast away with Meteor. However, leveling up characters and unlocking new teammates is quite a lot of fun. Also, the developer was very smart in allowing us to shift around skill tree points at any time during combat. This one seeminly minor gameplay feature gives a huge amount of leeway for experimentation and unique strategies with units.

If you're a fan of fantasy strategy games and want a serious challenge, this is not a game you should pass up.

The Best Thing About This Game Is...

... it is the first tower defense game I have played in a long time where I had to actually think. My only issue is, and this may just be me, is that I find myself on the later levels trying to change skills to the situation and running out of time to do so. Otherwise, I think the story should have been a bit more integrated into the game. I can't really think of any major flaws beyond that.

Good...

It was a very good game. I liked the RPG aspects to it. But all in all it gets a little repetitive and boring...

Keeps remembering me the song. :)

I can't help thinking to "Born Of Fire" by Slayer every time i play.
Anyway, pretty nice game, i went quite far by now, and i plan to finish it.
The only thing i didn't like was about the "found" units than join you later in the game, they have the same sprites as the starting characters, on the game map, and the same skills.

Neat!

This was a very fun game to play and the best I have played in awhile. What makes it so effective is that it combines the elements of an RPG game along with a tower defense game. I am not a fan of RPGs, but I do really like defense games. The graphics in this are really good too, especially how much detail is given to each and every character. It's too bad you can not summon a bunch of them at one time. It is still very fun to play and quite original.

Congrats on getting this many views as it is an innovative enough game to deserve it. It is hard to look through all those instructions and you never know when you're done. Here are the instructions in a nutshell. Place the characters on the board and just click on the enemy nearby to point them in the direction to attack. The intro had great animation as well.
